Day 329: Time Warp

So after seeing Minie's photo, I was a bit compelled to search around my house for old pictures of myself. Lo and behold, my dad ends up showing me this picture, taken about 3-4 months after I was born. Who knew that 22 years later I would not only retain the birthmark on my lip and the thick eyebrows, but my head would somehow get rounder. The world works in mysterious ways...

And speaking of mysterious, I was recently tagged by Trang a couple days ago (again) for that 10 things thing. Seeing as how I've already done one, I'll switch it up a little.

Going with the retrospective theme for today, here's one fact from the first 10 years of school in my life:

K: I accidentally poked another kid in the eye with one of those fat-ass #3 pencils. He eventually got back at me (albeit inadvertently) seven years later in woodshop...
1st: My first grade teacher was probably one of the best I've ever had, and her and my family are still close friends.
2nd: I threw up over one of my textbooks and a girl pulled a chair out from under me. Not both in the same day, thankfully.
3rd: Our class was 100% Chinese (apparently for the first time in history)
4th: I think around here, I learned how to draw Garfield impeccably well. Not the greatest skill to learn, I must admit.
5th: First time I got really bullied. It was only a one-time event, but still. Fuck you Joe Boston, wherever you are.
6th: Boy, this year was awkward... I think I got fatter during this year.
7th: Over the summer, I lost about 15 pounds, changing my outlook on life, I suppose. I've been a lot happier since.
8th: During the graduation party in our gymnasium, some girl actually asked me to dance. No lie! A picture of it exists out there, somewhere...
9th: Ironically, a year later I started playing the game of Dance Dance Revolution. It would be because of this game that I would meet some of my closest friends today. Probably one of most bizarre, enjoyable, and oddly surprising things to happen in my life.

There ya go. 10 years, all rolled up into one big-ass paragraph.

Worker's Day
