These are some of the favorites from the 800 picitues I took of the parade

In just a few seconds from when this picture was taken, I yelled across the street "AUSTIN". The other pciture I have of him, where he is making the "yeah baby" gesture.... is the result of that.

The incredibly talented brothers Armando and Marco Fonseca of Fonco Plastics built this acrylic enclosure for Ava's pets (I helped mostly by lifting things, buying pizza and blowing shavings around with the compressed air gun) and I got a super fun expert course in plastics fabrication for free. It was an incredible experience for me. I would have blogzored the whole thing but Armando has some ultra secret projects going on in his shop and has a strict no-pictures policy... and I forgot my camera.

The tank is 6' long, 2' wide and 16" tall. It is currently home to one baby bearded dragon (the only permanent resident, who really doesn't know what to do with all this room), about 6 cuban brown anoles, 3 southern toads, 2 cuban tree frogs, a colony of tadpoles in a mini tank, and a few strings of toad eggs. The anoles, frogs and toads are on constant rotation. Every day Ava catches a few new ones in the yard and releases some of the captives.

I am responsible for the gimpy screen on top of the tank and the fogged camera lens.
