My only son. I bought him his first tattoo when I went to visit him before he left for Iraq. He wanted a tattoo of his baby son's name and birthday over his heart. He will be in Iraq for 12-15 months.

I took two pictures of her within a few seconds of each other and can't decide which I like more, so I'm uploading both.
Always one of my favorite pictures I've taken. I love that she didn't acknowledge me taking a picture. All pictures are equally "authentic" to me, I prefer, though, in these settings (events I'm asked to take pictures for, for instance), unposed shots. To me, it feels like unposed shots are better (to me, once again - aesthetics) at documenting an event and gets closer to creating the feeling of the event.
I want to be unseen, basically. To take pictures that serve as "eyes" that were there. And people don't pose (picture poses, at least) when you're there just observing thigns with your eyes opposed to a camera. If any of that makes sense. LOOK FLICKR AS A BLOG / WHERE I TALK ABOUT MY AESTHETICS.
