I'm not a shoulder pet person and don't have any desire to physically carry virtual or real life pets about with me (I like people and animals independent). I'd also be unlikely to go out of my way an easter egg leg strap (the chocolate might be a tempation) BUT I'm glad I got to catbutt... the syringe arm strap made my eyes smile with glee (that may have scared passers-by) and I thought the heart face mask was kind of cute. Don't be too fearful, I have a black sense of humour at times - but I'm about as squishy as they come :)

The backdrop which I customised for the N30 studio at Eloquence is Hospital corridor in gray from Julie70 (account: joyoflife) on flickr under creative commons license (non-commercial, attribution). I have included the flickr image ID, her account name and the image title as part of the image name in the N30 as well.

Today is a reality picture day.

Today has made me think about what this photo stream is about, personally.

It's a test of my imagination for sure, to produce a picture every day. To document my life for a year. I didn't think about the sad days that would come and how I would treat them. I asked myself if I would ignore them and post something different or whether I should still mark them in some way. As you can tell, I decided to include them in my stream.

I'm a huge animal lover and have quite a menagerie myself. I adore every pet I have and give them my all, quite often nursing them back from very bad health.

This was Sox, this morning. She was my matriarch bunny, mother of 8 babies in 2010. She started life as a temperamental little sausage, kicking us all the time, refusing to be petted. Whilst she was nursing her babies she changed, even let me watch while she fed them.

At the weekend we found that her back legs had become paralysed, we're not sure why. The last few days have been very rough for her, not being able to move and soiling herself. There was no decision, it was no life for a bunny.

So here is my mummy bunny, this morning just before she was bathed for the last time. She was in no pain, just not a happy bunny.

RIP my Sox, you were muchly loved :)
