She seems so delicate.
Our newest baby on the colony. Reena.
Sunday afternoon, complimentary photo-shoots. Courtesy of Shutterite Co. [That includes me, and my assistant, Evelyn. She is the Co. part.]
First we trekked home to a young family to gather and somehow manage a bunch of energetic [chaotic] children. The frames i got there were killers. I let the children show their true colors by capturing them as they are normally, and not always posing like a stiff mannequin.
We set up some white backgrounds as well as black, just to shake things up. And at the end we asked the two boys to jump up and down on a sponge. I really enjoy the [realness] of these photos.
That took a three quarter hour.
And then we gathered our cases of equipment and set up for the baby. The mother had really like the photos i took of Kiara, so i based a couple photos of the idea of a baby in a wicker basket. I also tried a new tecnique of laying the baby in a suspended swath of fabric, but that didn't fly.
After having them all edited, i was really pleased with the results, i especially love how editing brings out that [extra] touch that unedited version just doesn't have. Like in this photo, it was too bluish, and i gave it a slight red tint, which worked wonderfully at giving the skin a pleasing and healthy tone.

Jelly Baby shot down in drive by shooting...
I have no idea why this idea came to me on the way home from Camera Club tonight, but I had nothing and this just popped into my head so I had to pop into Tesco's and pick up some (very expensive) Jelly Babies.
The witnesses have now been eaten...and boy, were they tasty ;-)

Create a photograph that illustrations connection.
Hands are not yet the same size so holding hands is hard but we're getting there with a speed of 24 hrs/day!
First idea of a "connection" was two connected carts of a freight train. But after trying too long to get a decent photo of that I gave up and focused on the most important connection. The unbroken chain that built this somewhat broken civilisation.

Jeffypoo (Shippuden Gaara) brought a couple bags of sand for his cosplay, which was frankly a brilliant idea. He broke them out at the photoshoot at which point "baby Gaara" Miles got interested. The bags were dumped & Miles wound up playing with his pile of sand for about twenty minutes while everyone around photomobbed him and sustained the syllable "AWWWWWWW" until they almost passed out. We moved the shoot so as not to disturb him. Really, he could turn the whole parking lot into a giant sandbox and we'd still adore him. XD
